I developed Seemly Customizer as a custom WordPress/WooCommerce plugin for Seemly.nl, a Dutch e-commerce store specializing in personalized decorative wall circles (Muurcirkel). The plugin transforms the product page into an interactive customization experience where customers can upload their own photos and create unique wall decorations.
The plugin features a sophisticated circular editor built with Fabric.js and HTML5 Canvas. Users can upload photos via drag & drop, then position and zoom their image within the circular mask using intuitive controls (mouse drag, scroll wheel, pinch gestures, or resize handles). A real-time DPI quality indicator warns users if their image resolution is insufficient for the selected product size, ensuring print quality for sizes ranging from 40cm to 140cm diameter.
The plugin seamlessly integrates with WooCommerce product variations, automatically adapting quality requirements based on the selected size. When customers add to cart, the system generates a high-resolution export (up to 300 DPI) for production, along with the customized product data. The entire workflow is optimized for conversion with a clean preview modal and direct add-to-cart functionality.
